Stickers
I’d always wanted to make stickers promoting an important issue and stick them around where I live to spread the message. This idea was based on butcher signs of animals. I took the butcher sign silhouettes and removed the words that say ‘steak’, ‘fillet’, ‘breast’ etc. and changed them to nicer words that don’t objectify the animals.
Lino
I made these lino prints in response to the stickers shown above. I wanted to try making something physical and after digitally designing the stickers.
Paper Cut-outs
I had made these paper cut-out pieces for a project, but unfortunately they didn’t get used in the end. I really enjoyed making them because I like making physical pieces as a break from digital work. Hopefully they will be useful at some point in the future.
Collages
I found some old issues of ‘Frankie Magazine’ and was inspired by all of the colourful artwork and patterned paper that comes in the issues, so I decided to make a few collages. The first was for Mother’s Day, that was coming up at the time. The second one was for women, because International Women’s Day was that week. The third one for animal rights, something that I am very passionate about and often influences my personal work.
